Isaac's Birthday

And onto the next event (we're nearly done), Isaac is 6 today!!
He was very happy with his Hot Wheels and Lego presents.

At 10am we celebrated his birthday with a party in the park and nearly all of his school friends.
Eleven boys from his class arrived and they all played so well together.

Then it was cake time.

When we got home he spent ages happily playing with his mountain of birthday presents.

Ava's 3rd Birthday Party

Ava turned 3 yesterday.
She was sick and got to spend the day with Daddy because I went on the school excursion with Isaac.
She loved her pink Barbie laptop.

We had her birthday party this afternoon with our play/mum's group.
There were 11 kids and 7 grown-ups, and it was the first party she didn't have to share with her cousin and her brother.
For weeks, whenever I asked what she wanted for her birthday present, she would answer, "Tinkerbell cake".
She very patiently waited all day, for her party which was after school.
She was so happy Grandma came to play for the day to help pass the time.

Brisbane Adventure, St Matt's Catch Up & R-L's Birthday

Friday afternoon we picked Isaac up early from school and headed off on a little adventure.
I'd been invited to dinner with girls I used to teach with, the kids had never been into the city and it was R-L's birthday, so we booked one night at Rydges, Southbank for a mini holiday.

The hotel was great, dinner with the girls was great, wandering around the city was great and visiting the cousins at the Gold Coast was great!  We had the best time!!

And loved catching up with my old friends

Saturday morning we walked over the bridge to the mall,

browsed in our favourite second hand bookstore and

played in the Botanic Gardens

Walked along Riverside

Passed the River Queens

Caught a river ferry (Ava remembered how much she doesn't like boats)

The kids caught a ride when we were checking out

Then we went to the Gold Coast for R-L's birthday
