Brooyar State Forest

It's amazing the things you find when you go looking.
We hadn't heard anything about this place.
Rob just saw that there were lookouts marked on a local map and we decided to go have a look and pack a picnic.
The two lookouts we found were stunning.
Amazing views to the west and sheer rock cliffs that were being climbed by abseilers and rock climbers.
We drove on to find the camp ground the climbers camp in by Glastonbury Creek.
And Rob decided that the best picnic spot was not the picnic table by the creek...but the sandy bank across the creek.
So after he carried Ava and piggy-backed me across...the kids had a little swim (in their undies) and we had a beautiful picnic.
