Picnic at Wolvi Mountain

Today we went for a drive and had a picnic at Wolvi Mountain.

Rob and I had been there years ago but this was the first time we went with the kids.

It's a beautiful spot.  Stunning views.  And not widely known so we had the whole place to ourselves.

It was lovely to get away from everything and feel like we were on top of the world for awhile.

I took a few photos....

...and then Ava took some...

...and then we posed for a couple of timed shots...

...and then Isaac took a few shots...

I'm thinking we should get the kids a camera each for their next birthday!

While we were there looking at the mountains, Rob started to explain to Isaac how mountains are formed by volcanoes.  In the car as we were driving home Isaac wanted to know how volcanoes were made, and then said he thought volcanoes were boy mountains.

There were also cows all around and Isaac asked why bulls don't have milk, then said he thought when boy cows die they turn into girls.
