The plan for the day, when we woke up, was to go shopping at The Sunshine Plaza then go to visit Grandma & Grandad at Caloundra.
But Ava said we should go for a picnic because we hadn't done that for ages.
So we decided to go to
Buderim State Forest and do the walk to Serenity Falls instead.
Apart from a major spat on the way because my directions got us lost in busy Buderim, we had another lovely day in a beautiful spot. It's like a hidden jewel because we'd never heard much about it, and while there we quite a few other people there, it wasn't crowded. It was a quick, easy circuit over rocks, bridges and boardwalks.

After a picnic in the forest, we drove to Noosaville so the kids could have a play in the playground and a splash in the river. There just happened to be a sailing competition happening which was very interesting to watch. A quick Google search tells me it was the 2012 Laser River Championships.
